Biography

Zoe Dumas was born in Titisee-Neustadt, raised in Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean. After graduating from high-school, worked as a video editor, sound and camera assistant for 15 months. During this time gained up-close experience producing two documentaries. This opportunity grew her interest in Cinematography. From 2019 to 2023, she studied director of photography at the ifs Internationale Filmschule Köln. Her graduation film "El Mártir (The Martyr)" (2023) was funded by the Film-und Medienstiftung NRW and shot in Spain. It has been nominated for the categories Middle Length Film and Michael-Ballhaus Prize for Camera at the First Steps Awards 2023.
